Pigsy is a street-smart loser who keeps messing things up. Then one day, to his surprise, he is chosen for the New World, the place for people who have made it, and at last he can make his grandmother proud. The joy doesn't last: he is soon told it was all a mistake.
Tired of being a joke, Pigsy makes a secret deal with the Bull Demon King. He goes undercover in Sanzang's team to steal information for the Bull Demon King's immortality project, in exchange for a secret way into the New World. Just as he pulls off the job, he discovers that the project will take away the lifespans of many people, his own grandmother among them.
He has to give everything he has, together with his friends, to stop it and save Sanzang, his grandmother and everyone else.
Pigsy continues the sci-fi world of the PTS animated series Pigsy Express. It was produced by Taiwanese companies including Studio2, with Submarine (Netherlands) and GrX as international co-producers, and was released in Taiwan on 31 May 2024.
八戒是一個有著街頭智慧，但卻常常把事情搞砸的魯蛇。沒想到這一天，他居然被選進了象徵成功人士的新世界，他終於能讓奶奶為他感到驕傲了；但是高興沒多久，才被告知這一切是搞錯了。
不想再被當作笑話的八戒，接受了牛魔王的秘密約定，他臥底在三藏的團隊中竊取資訊，協助牛魔王的永生計劃，以換取進入新世界的秘密管道。就在八戒成功完成任務的同時，才發現牛魔王的永生計畫，將會奪走許多人的壽命，其中，居然還包括自己的奶奶。
他必須付出全力與夥伴一起阻止這一切，救回三藏、奶奶與所有人。
《八戒：決戰未來》延續公視動畫影集《未來宅急便》的科幻世界，由 studio2 兔子創意等台灣公司出品，荷蘭 Submarine 與瀚草 GrX 參與國際合製，2024 年 5 月 31 日於臺灣上映。
